Season Theme
Why a season theme?
quiet seeks to explore one unifying theme each season as a way to ask multiple questions about an issue; art is quiet’s medium for discussion. As such, it is also the catalyst for personal and social change. There are no boundaries to questions, so there are no limits to our season: theater, performance, film, music, dance, literary, presentation.
The theme is also a way for quiet to form and develop relationships with quiet Partners. These social organizations provide awareness and opportunities for many gender issues.
The 2012 season theme is All or Nothing: Stories of the Disillusioned, Disenfranchised, and Displaced. Our hope is that we are able to explore class dynamics on both individual and social levels. All works will be informed by this theme.
If you are interested in submitting a project proposal for this season, check out the “call for project proposals” form at quiet Avenues.
