Fusing sociological research with the pep and jazz of musical theatre, Pick-Up Artist: The Musical (PUA) uses the theatricality of the stage as 3 MENtors, 3 MISSfits, a Strumpet and some Raconteurs, explore social issues of aggressive masculine expressions, feminine objectification and homophobia. Follow the story of Enigma as he and his wingmen, Manifesto and the Fox, try to make men out of three losers. Told through the eyes of the Announcer and his players, there is no telling how far these boys will go to become men.

PUA kicks off quiet's 2010-2011 season as we begin delving into our season's theme - enGender Bender: Exploring our social blueprints. The musical investigates the balance between the masculine and feminine; it asks all of us to examine our preconceived notions about what it means to be man and what it means to be woman in today's American society.
